Ten priorities for Pittwater
Each one comes with what I will be arguing for. Where a date exists, it will be published here and updated.

Fix local roads and transport
Mona Vale Road, Barrenjoey Road and the Wakehurst Parkway are the three pieces of infrastructure that decide what a weekday morning in Pittwater feels like. I want published delivery dates for the work that has already been promised, and I want to be held to them.

Ease cost of living pressure
Household bills, insurance and council rates have all climbed faster than incomes here. I will argue inside government for the state levers that actually move the number on a bill rather than for another round of one off rebates.

Invest in our public schools
Our local public schools do a lot with buildings and grounds that are showing their age. I will work through the maintenance backlog school by school and make the list public so parents can see where their school sits.

Back small business
Most of the jobs in Pittwater come from businesses employing fewer than twenty people. Fewer forms, faster approvals and a state government that pays its own invoices on time would do more for them than any grant program.

Keep Pittwater safe
Police resourcing on the peninsula has to match how far officers have to travel. I will push for the local area command to be staffed against real response times rather than against a population figure.

Protect local character
Housing targets set in the city keep arriving here as height and density that does not fit the streets they land in. Pittwater should take its share of new homes, and it should have a real say in where they go and what they look like.

Improve access to health services
Mona Vale Hospital and the local GP network carry an ageing population a long way from the nearest major hospital. I want the services that were promised for Mona Vale delivered and reported on openly.

Invest in sport and youth
Our surf clubs, sporting fields and youth programs are run largely by volunteers who are stretched thin. I will chase the grant funding that gets announced for the northern beaches and make sure a fair share of it lands in Pittwater.

Prepare for storms and bushfires
We sit between the bush and the water, and both have caused serious damage in recent years. Hazard reduction, drainage and evacuation planning need to be handled as one job rather than three separate ones.

A strong local voice
Pittwater does better when its member is in the room where the decisions get made and is willing to argue. I will report back on what I asked for, what I got and what I did not, so you can judge the result rather than the press release.
